Spend analytics

The tracker allows you to track your advertising costs and analyze the ROI of your advertising campaigns. Information about the cost of a click can be obtained via a link, uploaded via the API, or downloaded directly from third-party analytics services.

Working methods

You can use four methods to import expenses into the tracker:

You can use all these methods simultaneously for different sources. But be sure to set up the stream links yourself.

Extremely important! Expense loading will not work on its own, it requires special link setup. You must send the identifier of the creative, ad or ad set for which you will load statistics in the future to one of the UTM tags. Otherwise, we simply will not be able to match your clicks with financial loads.

Automatic import

Connecting services for automatic import is done in the "Expenses section. To add a new loader, enter a name and select a service from the drop-down list. The number of services for downloading is not limited.

All methods for loading expenses have some common settings that are the same for all services:

As usual, all the loaders are configured in the same way:

  1. Create a loader of the advertising network you need.
  2. Specify the API key of this network.
  3. Select to downpload twice a day for yesterday and today.
  4. Specify the utm_source label with which you are loading from this source.
  5. Specify utm_content as the main tag and send your creative ID to it.

These general guidelines will work for most networks.

Adding via link

When working with teaser networks, you can pass the click price directly in the query string. To do this, use two parameters:

It is recommended to use this approach when working with redirects. In other cases, the user may accidentally refresh the page and thereby add an additional price tag to the click.

Manual loading

You can enter spend for a period manually. To do this, in the "Spend" section, go to the "Manual import" tab and fill out the form.

Indicate spends using one of the methods - total amount or price per click.

Specify the criteria by which the price tag is assigned. At least one criterion is required:

Working via API

APIs implement the same mechanism as manual import of click prices. You can load total price or one-click price with filtering by dates, flows, ways and tags. Full documentation is available in the API section.

Setup recommendations

In this section, we have collected recommendations for connecting to various advertising sources. For Facebook use Dolphin or FBtool.

AdPartner

To integrate with AdPartner, provide your API key.

DirectAdvert

Your link will look somehow like this:

https://track.altercpa.red/face?utm_source=directadvert&utm_medium={SRC_ID}&utm_content={AD_ID}&cpc={CLICK_PRICE}

Facebook via Dolphin

To integrate with Dolphin, provide the URL where it is installed in the format http://site.com/. To receive a token, use official instructions. Do not use an administrator token; it will not allow you to download statistics for other users. Each Dolphin user must add the loader themselves.

To download statistics, use utm_content, which should be specified like this:

Facebook via FBtool

To integrate with FBtool, provide your API key. You can specify a list of account IDs for which you want to display statistics. Accounts are indicated separated by commas. If accounts are not specified, statistics are downloaded for all accounts.

To download statistics, use utm_content, which should be specified like this:

MGid

To integrate with MGid, enter your username (email) and password. In the UTM tag field, select which tag you are passing the advertising campaign ID to.

MixAdvert

To integrate with MixAdvert, enter your login and token from the API section.

My favorite network isn't listed!

It's not a problem. We'll add your favorite network to our loaders if you contact us and tell us about their work. We will need API documentation and access to an account on which we can test everything. You must have traffic through this account so that we can check the downloading operation.
